When it comes to hair I am here for it. I remember being so young (back to the Hannah Montana days & when Taylor Swift was new) I LOVED their curls and was so determined to figure out how to learn. When I finally did I would either refer to them as my Hannah or my Taylor curls.
I still love hair, maybe even more but keeping up with hair that has been colored, and used heat almost daily, it can be tough. My secret to keeping it healthy?
I love coconut oil so much. I used to use coconut oil on my hair like religiously. Just slap some in my hand and then rub it through my hair. I have to be honest,
it is not the cleanest task to do. I still have chunks of coconut in my bathroom, I so definitely reccommend using it over a towel or in the bathtub.
Do not wash your hair everyday. Literally this is the worse thing you can do for your hair. I wash my hair once every 4 days. I know, I know, if you are new the whole no hair wash thing this can seem alarming. I had a friend who went through beauty school and she was telling me that every seven days your hair actually rejuvenates itself and strips all the oils. I will link below my favorite Dry shampoo currently, but there are so many on the market!!
A good shampoo and conditioner can be crucial to healthy hair. I actually just learned this, and essence the super popular brand leaves wax in your hair. There is a brand I am about to try out and its called Monat and it clears that wax out of your hair.
The bad ingredients for your hair are sodium laureate sulfate and dimethicone. If you are interested in learning more about these, totally follow my girl Krista @thepeachblonde on instagram she would be happy to answer all your questions!
Hair masks make my hair so so SO soft and I love that, I usually do them on the night I do wash my hair that I did not use the coconut oil. Haha I hope that made sense.. lets say on Monday I did a coconut oil treatment, I was my hair that night, then Friday lets say I wash my hair again, then Friday I will be a hair mask! Below you can find the direct link to my current fav. I have been using this one for a little over a year now and I love so much the way it makes my hair feel!
How do you keep your hair healthy? I would love to know!
